Hi,

I would like to setup a VPN tunnel using PPTP between a W2k
Professional machine and a XP Home machine. What is the
best to do this? Does Microsoft have docuementation
somewhere to point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

The link below tells how to configure XP Pro as a vpn server for one connection.
I don't know if this is possible for XP Home - you will know when you try, but I
tend to doubt it. It probably will work at least as a vpn client which the same
wizard is used by selecting connect to workplace in the second option.

The last link discusses how to configure pptp vpn on W2K Pro which may help you
out. Note that a NAT/router needs to be configured to port forward port 1723 tcp
to the vpn server and protocol 47 or pptp passthrough needs to be enabled.
