View Full Version : Files on 2000 server "locked out"

LoboTS
Have 2000 server, the system crashed and was rebuilt.
After rebuild I recreated all users, all files that
resided on the data volume remained intact however any
flies that were assigned explicit non-inheratible rights
are locked out from all users including administrator. Is
there a way to clear the file specific rights. Have tried
the standard reset all rights check box and get a "access
denied" on each file. Any thoughts ?

Dave
can you use the administrator account to 'take ownership' of them? after
doing that you should be able to reassign rights as needed.
