Why does the Control Panel icon (Start\Settings\Control
Panel) disappear and then reappear later on the day.

I used my domain admin account to log on to a server and
I couldn't see the Control Panel for most of the day. And
suddenly, after logging off and logging back on, there it
is. I used Remote Desktop to connect to the server.

A few of my co-workers are having the same problem. I
deleted one's local profile, this did not work. I've
checked the group policies on the domain, and everything
looks fine, no policies are being applied that would
cause this to happen. Also checked the local policy,
everything looks fine.
