I am currently having a problem with pen drives, when inserting the
pen drive it says I do not have permission to install (Windows 2K - as
a restricted user). I have gone through the group policies, but can't
find where I can allow this to install without giving full local admin
rights.

Any help would be appreciated

In the appropriate security policy, such as Local Security Policy on a non domain
controller, go to security settings/local policies/user rights and add the
appropriate users/groups to "load and unload device drivers" to see if that helps.
Either reboot the computer or run " secedit /refrehpolicy machine_policy /enforce "
when done configuring policy. --- Steve
